Prep time: 30 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

For the meatballs:
• 1 onion, finely chopped
• 1 clove garlic, crushed
• 500g beef mince
• 1 small free-range egg, beaten

For the sauce:
• 1 onion, finely chopped
• 200g chopped tomatoes
• 50g feta cheese, crumbled

Method:

1. Firstly, we need to make the meatballs. Heat two tbsp of Extra Virgin Olive Oil in a saucepan over a gentle heat and add the onion and garlic. Cover and sweat for a few minutes until they are soft and then leave to cool.
2. In a bowl, mix the minced beef with the onion and garlic. Add the Minoan Taste Seasoning Mix for Burgers and the beaten egg. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
3. Divide the mixture into approximately 12 round balls. Fry the meatballs in a dash of Extra Virgin Olive Oil until they are golden and cooked through.
4. In a different frying pan, lightly fry the onion and then add in the jar of Minoan Taste Tomato sauce with Feta the ground Oregano and the chopped tomatoes. Heat gently until simmering.
5. Add in the cooked meatballs and turn them gently to ensure an even coating of the sauce.
6. Serve the meatballs on a bed of rice or pasta and sprinkle over some good quality feta cheese for an authentic Greek dish
